The site has no service and the provider quoted six weeks and a construction charge to bring a line in. Meanwhile you need card payments, cameras, a ticket scanner and a crew that can reach the office, and you need all of it this weekend.
Why it matters
Waiting for infrastructure is a choice, not a requirement. Starlink for business sites gets a fast connection into places with no cable at all, and cellular signal is usually available even when it is weak. Neither alone is dependable enough to run a business on: satellite has moments where it drops, and a single cell connection sags exactly when a crowd shows up and everyone is on their phones. Combining them is what makes it solid. Can you cover a one-day event?
Yes, and that is a large part of this work. We can deploy and staff it for the day or set it up and leave you a kit that works.
Is Starlink for business worth it on a short job?
Usually, because the alternative is waiting six weeks for a line you then pay to have installed and disconnected. It comes and goes with the rest of the site equipment. Where there is decent cell signal we combine the two rather than leaning on satellite alone, which is both steadier and cheaper.
Will card payments actually work?
That is the first thing we design around. Payment terminals get priority over everything else so the queue keeps moving even when the connection is under load.
What if there is no power either?
Then we plan for that too. Battery and solar-backed setups are routine for us, and come out of work we have done on sites with no grid at all.
Can you install satellite permanently at my house instead?
Yes, but it is a different job and it lives at Satellite Internet. This page is for connectivity that arrives with us and leaves with us: an event, a build, a season. A permanent install at a fixed address needs a full sky survey, a mount chosen for your building, grounding and a sealed cable run into the house.
